THINGS TO DO
National Park
Mu Ko Lanta National Park is located south of the island and is a must if you’re on Ko Lanta. With a steep entrance price of around 200B, you’ll be granted a beautiful cove overlooking a small, but impressive light house, with panorama views of the ocean. For those of you that like to walk along the beach and look through the rock pools, Mu Ko Lanta National Park is a great place to spend the day. As the park is found on the southern peninsula, there are some pretty impressive photo opportunities with turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs. Traveling to the National Park can be done in two ways, either by renting a bike and driving down yourself, which can take around 40 minutes from the ferry, or paying for a tuk tuk.
Beach Days
If you do any prior research regarding Ko Lanta, then you will know that is has some of the best beaches and waters that Thailand has to offer. We stayed on Klong Dao Beach, and it is safe to say it was incredible. A vast golden beach, with soft sand and bath like warm water. Be sure to check this beach out!
Rent a Bike
Getting around the island is easiest and cheapest via motorbike! Not to mention, it can also be extremely fun. We had the best day out after renting bikes and getting lost exploring the island! We rode all the way down to the Southern tip to see the National Park and then worked our way back, whilst stopping off at all the beautiful little beaches on the way. Truly a great day out.

WHERE TO STAY
Royal Lanta
Our hotel of choice was the Royal Lanta Hotel, with rooms ranging from private villas, to small generic rooms, there are choices for every one. We actually stayed in both, with the normal generic rooms being acceptable and close to the pool, however for a small price we were able to upgrade to the private villa. This was totally worth it and a treat to ourselves. We had a huge room with a very large double bed and a jacuzzi tub. The hotel is also located right on Klong Dao beach, so our villa was just a few steps away from the warm ocean water! Book your stay at this beautiful hotel here.
Overall, we were amazed by Ko Lanta and it is definitely an island you should visit. The large beaches, relaxed vibe and warm waters make you want to stay here for ever. If you come you won’t regret it!
