We were given the opportunity to stay in one of the most unique accommodations to date. Transporting ourselves out of the city and straight into the jungle of Cambodia; we had the chance to ‘glamp’ in one of the trendiest jungle igloos around, The Jungloo. Because this eco-friendly, glamorous glamping experience is apart of The Kabiki Hotel in Phnom Penh. We Knew this was going to be a treat.
The Room
The igloo like structure is equipped with all the essentials and even features a small private pool out front for your enjoyment. So the room itself is extremely functional and comfortable with a modern bathroom and stocked mini fridge. For instance, it has all you could ever need and is a unique experience we hope one day you will have the chance to experience. So this comfortable and stylish escape to nature was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Cambodia.
The Kabiki Hotel
The Kabiki hotel is known to be a family-friendly resort and we can attest to that. During our stay, we saw a fair amount of families relaxing by the pool and playing in the children’s corner. Because the Kabiki hotel has a great reputation with families. They offer parents a variety of fun spaces for their children. So they have a playground, paddle pool, and on site nannies. These are just of the few incredible added values this property features for kids.
The hotel itself is located in a quiet part of Phnom Penh’s historic district. So it is walking distance from a variety of incredible street food, and one of our favourite go to restaurants, Lemoncello Italian Restaurant!
One distinct feature about our stay was the complimentary boat cruise that the hotel offers. Pick up starts at 4:45pm and they take you to your own sunset boat tour along Mekong river. The cruise itself is free so you are expected to pay for dinner and drinks. This is a great romantic evening if you are traveling as a couple, or just a fun experience for any family!
Overall, we were throughly pleased with our stay in the Jungloo! It was definitely a great first ‘glamping’ experience for the both of us and now we must admit we are hooked! If you are ever looking for a little getaway in nature, be sure to check out this property. We promise it won’t disappoint!
