Thank you for your interest in our Lightroom Presets! Please read the below for some of the most common questions and things you should know prior to purchase.
What Are Lightroom Presets?
Lightroom presets are custom filters that are designed to help enhance the overall quality of your image. They are created via Lightroom; a professional photo editing program you can use via your laptop (monthly paid), mobile (free mobile app).
Similar to Instagram filters, these presets can be formatted to help give your photos a consistent look. We use Lightroom ourselves to edit all of our Instagram and blog photos.
What Do I Need To Use Lightroom Presets
What Is The Difference Between The Mobile And Desktop Presets?
Mobile presets are designed to be used for quick edits to JPEG photos on your mobile phone, and cannot be used on your desktop computer.
Desktop presets are designed to be used to edit RAW photos shot on DSLR, or Mirrorless cameras.
If you’re already highly invested in your photography and want to have more control over your edits, we suggest you get the desktop version of Lightroom and use Desktop Presets.
If you are just beginning with photography, and want to learn a quick easy way to edit like us, we recommend you go with the free Lightroom mobile app, along with our Mobile Presets.
Please note, included in the ZIP file are DNG files for Lightroom mobile and XMP for Light Room CC Desktop. ‘Mobile’ and ‘Desktop’ refers to the type of picture being edited(.jpeg or .raw) and how the presets are being installed either on mobile or desktop.
How Will I Receive Your Presets?
Your presets will be sent to you as DNG files and XMP files in a .ZIP folder after your purchase. The email you provide during the purchase will receive a downloadable link.
How to Import Presets Into Lightroom?
Once you purchase the presets you will receive a link to download a .ZIP folder. The .ZIP folder can only be downloaded on a computer, due to the fact that most mobile phones are unable to read these files.
Please download the .ZIP folder to your computer. Unzip the .ZIP folder by double clicking on the file. Once opened, you can see the preset folder with the .DNG and .XMP files. We will also include an Instructional PDF to help you with more detailed instructions for downloading and importing your presets to the desktop and phone.
I Am Having Issues Downloading, What Do I Do?
It is very likely that you are attempting to download the ZIP folder to a phone. Unfortunately, you cannot download ZIP folders to the phone. Therefore you need a computer. There are apps like Izip which you can use to open .ZIP files on your mobile, however, transferring them from a computer to your phone would be the most effective way to get the DNG files.
Please download the ZIP folder, which will be sent you your email address you provide, to a computer.
If this is not the case, check your WiFi speed. ZIP folders can be large, so the better the internet connection, the faster the download experience.
The most common issue faced when downloading the presets is attempting to download the ZIP folder to a phone. You cannot download ZIP folders to most phones.
What Happens If I Can’t Download The File Within The 48-Hour Window?
When you receive the download link to your inbox, you’ll see that it is only valid for 48 hours after the link is sent. If you don’t have your computer nearby, or don’t have a fast enough WiFi connection at the moment, don’t worry.
Please email or DM us on Instagram once you’re ready to download. Include your order number & email address, and we will send you a new download link.
Will I get the exact same look as you?
Yes, pretty much! It is important to note that Lightroom Presets are not always a one-click wonder. Sometimes you may find that a photo will require a few edits depending on things such as lighting, skin tone, or the type of camera you use. However, generally speaking, you will be able to get a beautiful edit like us in just a matter of seconds!
